Well, on the old site, everything started off with only three pages. But things really... well, expanded. There are old galleries, special features like the Jedi Academy (on the old site), all sorts of things that needed extra links. But not all the links are in a single, easy-to-find place. Most are kind of sprinkled around the place, not gathered or organised at all. To fix that, I created this page: The Map.
What this page is, is... every single page that exists on this site, along with a description. As it stands, all the links work, but soon the time will come when I will have to remove some because of space restrictions on my free webspace ( tripod.com ). When a page is removed, you'll see a ^REMOVED tag next to it... but I'm going to leave the descriptions there, since that way, future users will be able to see what has come before... and this will also lay the groundwork necessary in future for when the CD goes into production.
I'm pretty sure that's all I have to say here. Permanent links (ie. The News, The Details) are up the top, while various Galleries and Featured Presentations are lower down.
The News [ Link ] It takes me one click to check up on this page from home. This is the first page I created when designing this web site - and it's become more successful than I ever thought possible. So, web sites aren't just for the nerds. Ha! This is to all of you who made fun of me in primary school!! Wait... did I say that out loud?
The Details [ Link ] This is the big brother of The News. I don't put everything on the News page - it'd completely flood the page and make it too difficult to find what you were looking for - and so whatever I can't fit in the front-page blurb, I put here. Well worth your time, and sometimes there is vital stuff on this page.
The Testimonials [ Link ] Kind of like a guestbook, but it looks way cooler and no-one knows what the name means. Well, no doubt, as soon as you click here you'll find out that a testimonial is "a written affirmation of another's character or worth". If you get the time, please write your own and submit it to me!
The Map [ Link ] You say the what now? This is where you are now. I think this is an appropriate place to stick in a very corny "You Are Here" picture.
anyonegota.tripod.com - "Genesis" [ Link ] Where it all began. With the first five Galleries, the first Jedi Academy and one-hundred-and-seventy photos, this was the first incarnation of Eddie's Gallery online. You must visit it if you've seen the photos here and like them - it's like a little bit of history, the first two months of my camera.
The Sixth Gallery: "Countdown To The First Test" [ Link ] Tee minus twenty-four hours. This is the day before the first big Prefect event - Daffodil Day! With shots from the church service, as well as behind-the-scenes shots from the preparation for Daffodil Day, this is a great prequel to the Seventh Gallery, and definitely something I won't forget!
The Seventh Gallery: "Daffodils Have A Yellow Smell" [ Link ] Perhaps lilacs really do have a purple smell, but that's not for me to say (dips hat to Arthur Miller and the cast of The Crucible); what I do know is that daffodils have a yellow smell. Oh yes, indeed; here is one of my most treasured galleries, number seven: Daffodil Day, 2002. Enjoy!
The Eighth Gallery: "Crossing" [ Link ] Year Elevens becoming Year Twelves - that is the situation ahead of us. What's it going to be like? What will we remember? What will life look like on the other side? Well, if I knew, I'd tell you. But I certainly want to remember life on this side of Year Twelve - before it disappears forever.
The Ninth Gallery: "The Adventure Has Just Begun" [ Linkity-Link ] The last year of our high school careers is about to begin. A strange sense of achievement is in the air from all the things we've done - personally, I have all the ISCF, Prefect and drama stuff to look back on and be pleased with - but really, the adventure has just begun.
Year Twelve is going to be good. Bring it on!
The Tenth Gallery: "Take A Look Around" [ Linkity-Link ] Sometimes a pause is in order and we really need to stop moving and pay attention to our surroundings. People weren't built to live fast! It's cliched now, but hey... stop and smell the flowers, people!
